Bus Queensland was formed in April 2009 when the Pulitano Group purchased both the Garden City Sunbus and Kynoch Coaches operations. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] Kynoch Coaches was a family-owned business, previously owned by Jason Ward, operated urban, school and long-distance services from its base, in Stephen Street, Toowoomba.
In November 1989, the Penfold family sold Greyhound Coaches to Stateliner with the exception of the Brisbane - Gold Coast and Brisbane - Toowoomba services that were sold separately. Stonestreets Coaches is an Australian bus company operating services in the Dalby, Gladstone, Ipswich and Toowoomba regions in Queensland. Initially a route and school bus operator, it has diversified into providing transport for energy and mining projects and operating tours.
Bus Queensland Lockyer Valley operate one bus route to and from Rosewood station: 539: to Helidon [6]; This route was once serviced by McCafferty's Express Coaches (now operating under the auspices of Greyhound Australia) which continued onto Toowoomba where it connected with Rail motor service 5R16 from Toowoomba to Roma which operated until 1993.
