[9] The rodeo section of the Fort Worth Stock Show moved to the new Dickies Arena in 2020. The 2021 Stock Show was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic; only the second time in the event's history.
The Dickies Arena box office is open Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1911 Montgomery St. Rodeo ticket holders get in free to the stock show grounds on the day of their event.
In 1999, Tom Hicks, owner of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Stars, purchased Mesquite Championship Rodeo. [4] By 2001, attendance had grown to 200,000 during the season. In 2009, a group of investors formed a company called Camelot Sports & Entertainment and purchased the Mesquite Championship Rodeo from Hicks for an undisclosed sum.
