Flamingo Las Vegas (formerly the Flamingo Hilton [a]) is a casino hotel on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment . The Flamingo includes a 72,299 sq ft (6,716.8 m 2 ) casino and a 28-story hotel with 3,460 rooms.
In October 2000, the hotel's name was changed to the Flamingo Laughlin. On November 29, 2005, Harrah's Entertainment announced plans to sell the resort to American Casino & Entertainment Properties (ACEP). The $170-million sale closed on May 19, 2006. ACEP was allowed to continue using the Flamingo name for up to six months after the sale.

The Flamingo Capri Restaurant was added in 1964. [6] Ralph Engelstad purchased the motel in 1971, and added a casino in 1972. [1] Prior to the addition of a casino, the motel had 250 employees.
