Flipper is an American television program broadcast on NBC from September 19, 1964, until April 15, 1967. [1] Flipper, a bottlenose dolphin, is the pet of Porter Ricks, chief warden at Coral Key Park and Marine Preserve (a fictional version of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo, Florida), and his two young sons, Sandy and Bud.
Sandy talks Porter into letting him travel with Flipper in a small plane while Porter stays on the Island with Ulla (Ulla Stromstedt). Flipper is on his way to the lab to be studied for a while. But a flock of birds puts Flipper, Sandy, and the others on the plane in grave danger. The first of four episodes in which Bud does not appear in season 2.
