The Blue Hole is a clear blue body of water with a constant 62 °F (17 °C) temperature and constant inflow of 3,000 US gallons per minute (11 m 3 /min; 2,500 imp gal/min), enough to cycle out the water every six hours. While the surface is only 80 feet (24 m) in diameter, it expands to a diameter of 130 feet (40 m) at the bottom.
The most famous of these is Blue Hole, a popular spot for diving, where cool 61 °F (16 °C) water forms a lake over 81 feet (25 m) deep. Santa Rosa is located near the center of Guadalupe County at 34°56′32″N 104°41′2″W / 34.94222°N 104.68389°W / 34.94222; -104.68389 (34.942166, -104.683981

Another swimming hole has fallen victim to intensified drought conditions: Wimberley's Blue Hole. The swimming hole will be closed for two weeks.
The park also contains three trails: the Connector Trail, Blue Hole Trail, and Council of Trees Trail, with lengths of 0.15 miles (0.24 km), 0.2 miles (0.32 km), and 1.7 miles (2.7 km), respectively. The last of these ascends the ridge on the eastern half of the park and has a stone overlook tower.
