Mount Tabor, sometimes spelled Mount Thabor (Hebrew: הר תבור, romanized: Har Tavor; Arabic: جبل طابور), is a large hill of biblical significance in Lower Galilee, northern Israel, at the eastern end of the Jezreel Valley, 18 kilometres (11 miles) west of the Sea of Galilee.
Taborian Hospital in Mound Bayou, Mississippi opened in 1942 [2] to great fanfare by the International Order of Twelve Knights and Daughters of Tabor. The Wood County group consisted of both Cherokee and Choctaw. The Mount Tabor Indian Community (also Texas Cherokees and Associate Bands of the Mount Tabor Indian Community) is a cultural heritage group located in Rusk County, Texas. There was a historical Mount Tabor Indian Community dating from the 19th century. The current organization established a nonprofit organization in Texas in 2015. [3]
