Mount Pleasant is a town located in eastern Cabarrus County, North Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census, the town population was 1,652. [4] The town center is located at the crossroads of Mount Pleasant Road and North Carolina Highway 73. NC Highway 49 skirts the town to the north on its way from Charlotte to Asheboro.

Myers also sold the land for two churches to be built in the community. Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a Lutheran church that later became Mount Zion Church of Holiness in 1946. In 1919 the Myers family deeded a parcel of land to create the Myers Chapel A.M.E Zion Church. [1] The family also designated land for a community park.
