The Driver's Seat (also known as Identikit) is a 1974 Italian drama film directed by Giuseppe Patroni Griffi. [1] Based on the 1970 novella The Driver's Seat by Muriel Spark , it is a psychological drama starring Elizabeth Taylor and Ian Bannen , and featuring Andy Warhol .
The story centres on Wanda, a highly strung Polish dressmaker who is receiving various threatening letters, and on Hector Bartlett, who appears to be stalking Agnes and through whom she loses her job. "Muriel Spark was trolled in her lifetime by an ex-lover who, by all accounts, was a pretty despicable character. This novel is her revenge on him."
The truck driver braked and steered to avoid the Spark, but hit the driver's side at just under 50 mph (80 kilometers per hour). All six teens died of multiple blunt force injuries.
