Franklin Township is a township in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 16,380, [9] [10] a decrease of 440 (−2.6%) from the 2010 census count of 16,820, [19] [20] which in turn reflected an increase of 1,354 (+8.8%) from the 15,466 counted in the 2000 census.
In the 2016–17 school year, Wenonah had the 37th smallest enrollment of any school district in the state, with 177 students. [7] The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings.
The committee was established after the Woodbury Public Schools notified the four sending communities of National Park, Wenonah, Westville and Woodbury Heights—which all had existing K-8 school districts—that their students could no longer be accommodated at Woodbury High School for grades 9-12 after the 1963-64 school year.
