The Diocese of Imus was created on November 25, 1961 separating Cavite from the main archdiocese. Thus, the diocese serves as suffragan to that of Manila with its own leadership. It comprises the civil province of Cavite and covers a land area of 1,287 km 2 (497 sq mi), with a population of 1,643,549 of which 76 per cent are Catholics.

St. James School and Childcare Center - After Our Lady of Peace closed in 2014, St. James agreed to accept the OLP students and allow them to wear their legacy school uniforms. There were 265 students in the 2013-2014 school year, and prior to the announcement of OLP's closure, there were 201 students who agreed to attend St. James for 2014-2015.
At some point the system closed the Holy Family, Sacred Heart, and St. Ann campuses. The system was renamed Northwest Catholic Regional School in 1977 after four parishes joined the school system. In 1993 Fr. Holland Elementary School became a part of the system. The Holland building closed in 2008.
