Manitou is a 62-foot-long (18.9 m) performance cruising yacht designed and built for racing on the Great Lakes [2] [6] and specifically to win the Chicago-Mackinac Race. [7] It notably served as a presidential yacht for United States president John F. Kennedy [8] [9] and was known as the "Floating White House."
Rainbow was a J-class yacht built in 1934 [1] and successful defender of the 1934 America's Cup. It was ordered by Harold Vanderbilt and designed by William Starling Burgess . Rainbow was scrapped in 1940.

The first Nic 55 / 2nd Yacht Lutine. Here named Acclaim and sailing in Southampton water. Ray Wall designed the Camper and Nicholsons 'Nic 55' which LLYC commissioned. Launched in 1970 with yard number 1016, she is a 53.8' Bermudan sloop, with 8.3' draft and displacing 23 tons. [3] Sold in 1999 and renamed Yacht Acclaim.
They produced up to 400 sailing yachts per year, 27 to 64 ft in length. [1] Bill Dixon and Angus Primrose were responsible for the design of all models. Due to falling sales in the sailing yacht business, the companies disbanded the connection in 2003. During their 30-year cooperation, they had developed 39 models and sold 4,233 boats. [1]
