The Indonesian Volleyball Federation, commonly called PBVSI (Indonesian: Persatuan Bola Voli Seluruh Indonesia) sometimes translated as All-Indonesian Volleyball Association) is the governing body of volleyball and beach volleyball in Indonesia. Formed in 1955, its headquarters are in Pancoran, South Jakarta.
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. [1]
Rita Subowo is an Indonesian sports organization figure and the first woman to serve as general chairman of the Indonesian Volleyball Federation (2000–2005) general chairman of the National Sports Committee of Indonesia for the period (2007-2011) concurrently serving as General Chair of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (2007–2015) and General Chair of Asian Volleyball (2020-present) [1]
