Warhammer (formerly Warhammer Fantasy Battle or just Warhammer Fantasy) is a tabletop miniature wargame with a medieval fantasy theme. The game was created by Bryan Ansell , Richard Halliwell , and Rick Priestley , and first published by the Games Workshop company in 1983.

[1]: 305 Shadows Over Bögenhafen (1995) was the first in a series reissuing GW's well-respected The Enemy Within Campaign; Hogshead's updated Enemy Within campaign (1995-1999) was very well received.
In early 2003, after James Wallis shut down Hogshead Publishing, the rights to Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay reverted to Games Workshop; a year later Games Workshop planned to publish a new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay using their BL Publishing division and created the subdivision Black Industries as a new roleplaying imprint for the game.
Citadel Miniatures Limited is a company which produces metal, resin and plastic miniature figures for tabletop wargames such as Warhammer Fantasy Battle and Warhammer 40,000. In the past, Citadel Miniatures was a separate company, but it has become a brand for Games Workshop miniatures.
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay was first published in 1986 by Games Workshop. [6] The product was intended as an adjunct to the Warhammer Fantasy Battle tabletop game. A number of Games Workshop publications – such as the Realm of Chaos titles – included material for WFRP and WFB (and the Warhammer 40,000 science fiction setting), and a conversion system for WFB was published with the WFRP rules.

Warhammer Visions, a monthly sister title, was launched at the same time, in a format favouring the imagery over text. The weekly version of White Dwarf lasted for 131 issues and in September 2016 the magazine returned to its monthly format, also subsuming Warhammer Visions .
