With Hawks' message in hand, Endeavor now understands the true reason behind the Hero Public Safety Commission bringing back the Work Study program: to ensure everyone is ready for the forthcoming attack of Shigaraki and his combined forces. Accepting Midoriya and Bakugo as his students, Endeavor first seeks to understand what each has to work on.
Endeavor then realizes that Dabi managed to create Phosphor by manifesting Rei's ice Quirk within him, recognizing his faults that led them both to this point. He prepares to sacrifice himself and Dabi by blasting themselves into the air, but is halted by Rei, Fuyumi, and Natsuo, who use their ice Quirks in an attempt to cool them both down.
Endeavor is left absolutely speechless, thinking about his past raising Toya to be his successor and his supposed death, and Dabi prepares to finish everyone off with his own Prominence Burn. But suddenly, he and the other villains are restrained by metal cables from the sky, as an alive Best Jeanist enters the battle.
While most of Class 1-A fight against an army of monsters created by the fortress and help the civilians evacuate, Izuku, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki, plus Giulio, confront Dark Might and rescue Anna. Meanwhile, the fortress makes its way toward U.A., so the Heroes led by Endeavor fend off the fortress while rescuing the escaping people.
Though severely wounded, Endeavor imitates All Might's pose which is a sign of his start, as onlookers cheer for him. In a post-credits scene, Izuku has a mysterious dream where he encounters the previous users of One For All , including the first , who is the younger brother of All For One.
Endeavor struggles against Hood as the monster scars the left side of his face, while Hawks uses his "Fierce Wings" Quirk to protect bystanders. Endeavor continues fighting despite his injuries and destroys the High-End Nomu with Hawks' help, the two being ambushed by Dabi before the number-five hero Miruko drives him off.
