The Synagogue of Deal is a Sephardi Orthodox Jewish congregation and synagogue, located on Norwood Avenue in Deal, New Jersey, in the United States. Established in 1973 by the local Syrian Jewish community , it was the first synagogue built in Deal.
The New Jersey community is mainly based in Monmouth County, especially Deal, Elberon, Long Branch, Oakhurst and Bradley Beach. The community largely consists of people who reside there during the summer months, though some live there permanently, especially in the more inland regions of Eatontown , Oakhurst and West Deal.
Deal is located in the 6th Congressional District [54] and is part of New Jersey's 11th state legislative district. [ 55 ] [ 56 ] [ 57 ] For the 119th United States Congress , New Jersey's 6th congressional district is represented by Frank Pallone ( D , Long Branch ).
