Illinois River Forks State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of Oregon, administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.The park consists of approximately 400 acres, with 170 located between the forks of the Illinois River and the remainder on the west side.
On the East Grand Forks side, the city of East Grand Forks owns a 200-acre (0.81 km 2) section of the Greenway in the downtown area. All other land on the East Grand Forks side is owned by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. This 1,200-acre (4.9 km 2) section is called the Red River State Recreation Area.
East Grand Forks developed on both sides of the Red Lake River, which joins with the Red River in town. The main part of town is located north of the river; this was the original section which developed as the downtown area, as well as several early residential neighborhoods. The area south of the river is known as "The Point."
