The Midland Football League, officially known as the Capelli Sport Midland Football League [1] since January 2025 for sponsorship reasons, is an English football league that was founded in 2014 by the merger of the former Midland Alliance and Midland Combination. [2] The league has four divisions that sit at levels 9–12 of the football pyramid.
In 2014, after the Midland Combination and the Midland Alliance merged, Sutton were placed into the Midland League. In 2017, the club dropped out of the Midland League, rejoining the Birmingham and District League, before making the step back up to the Midland League Division Three in 2019. [ 2 ]
