Badminton England is the national governing body for the sport of badminton in England.It aims to govern, encourage and develop the sport throughout England. Originally established in 1893 as the Badminton Association of England in Portsmouth, [citation needed] the association is now based in Milton Keynes and has departments for Elite Play, Events, Membership, Development and Coaching.
The UK government has a list of professional associations approved for tax purposes (this includes some non-UK based associations, which are not included here). [1] There is a separate list of regulators in the United Kingdom for bodies that are regulators rather than professional associations.
Clubs that allow temporary members to use their facilities will need to charge fees equivalent to the annual costs to full members, to include match fees and fees for hiring courts and so on. For example, if the annual costs of membership were £240 for twelve months then temporary membership for two months would need to cost no more than £40.

The National Badminton League (NBL) was a professional team badminton league in England. Organised by Badminton England, it was launched in October 2014 as the first ever national badminton league in the UK. Reaching seven franchise teams in its third and final season (16-17), the inaugural season launched with six teams.
