Mattie Parker (born November 9, 1983) [2] [3] is an American attorney, business owner, and politician serving as the 45th Mayor of Fort Worth, Texas.She was elected in 2021 after serving as Chief of Staff for the Mayor and the Fort Worth City Council for five years.
Fort Worth pays its mayor $29,000 a year, while council members get $25,000. It’s not clear whether Parker will have to recuse herself from any city business involving Cook Children’s.
This year’s election will be the first since both cities went through their 2020 redistricting process. Election day is May 6 with a runoff (if necessary) June 10.
