For over a century, the FHSAA – through the cooperative efforts of its member schools – has provided opportunities for high school students in Florida to participate on a fair and equitable basis in interscholastic athletic programs that produce vital educational benefits.

Application & Provisional Periods for First Time Members. A first-time high/combination school member school must successfully complete an application period, followed by a provisional period before it is eligible for election to full membership in the FHSAA.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The FHSAA Handbook for the 2023-24 school year is now available in digital format and can be accessed on the Rules and Publications page or below. The Handbook publication contains each of the Bylaws and Policies set forth by either the membership or through state law.
To ensure fair and equitable competition, as well as to encourage acceptable progress in the classroom, the FHSAA enforces eligibility regulations that have been adopted by its member schools, or enacted into law by the Florida Legislature.
