Playlist: The Very Best of Basia is a greatest hits compilation album by Polish-born singer Basia. It was released by Epic Records on 15 October 2013 as part of Sony's environmentally friendly Playlist compilation series. [2] The CD compiles all of her chart hits from the 1980s and 1990s.
The album consists of 17 songs, four of which were originally released on Basia's debut album, Time and Tide (1987), [2] two from London Warsaw New York (1990), [3] five from The Sweetest Illusion (1994), [4] and two from the live album Basia on Broadway (1995). [5]
The title song was inspired by Basia's love for European film music and the world of art. [8] The lyrics tell "the story of falling in love with a stranger on the train" and were written during a train journey from New York to Boston in June 2010 when Basia was on her US tour. [ 9 ]

[10] "Drunk on Love" was released as the next single in June 1994 and topped Billboard ' s Dance Club Songs.
London Warsaw New York is the second solo studio album by Polish-born singer–songwriter Basia, released in February 1990 by Epic Records. It spawned one of Basia's biggest hits, "Cruising for Bruising".
It's That Girl Again was Basia's first solo studio album in 15 years, following 1994's The Sweetest Illusion.In the meantime, she recorded a reunion album with Matt Bianco, 2004's Matt's Mood, released a solo live album, a compilation, and made guest appearances on other artists' albums.
