A wireless home phone service is a service that allows a regular wired telephone to connect to a cellular network, as if it were a mobile phone. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] It is an example of a wireless last mile connection to the public switched telephone network , also known as a wireless local loop .
That system competed directly with Rocky Mountain Bell and its connected local phone companies in the same towns. [1] The Malheur Home Telephone Company was incorporated in 1910 and set about purchasing the telephone systems in the area, starting with Malheur Telephone in Vale and Rocky Mountain Bell, with its Bell franchise, in Nyssa and Ontario.
