The song is an up-tempo disco duet, with the singers describing the importance of speaking French – described as "the language of love and summer". One of them at least has recently been on holiday and required a working knowledge of that language in order to have a holiday romance.

"Dernière danse" (English: "Last dance") is a song recorded by French singer-songwriter Indila. It served as the first single from her debut album, Mini World. Less than ten years after its release, on 19 May 2023, it became the first French-language song to exceed one billion views on YouTube.
French music history dates back to organum in the 10th century, followed by the Notre Dame School, an organum composition style.
