My LG TV displays "3D Cinema" every time it goes into the Smart apps - it's not 3D so no idea why, it's just a generic logo unconnected to the exact TV model. It also displays the Model number in the Information menu, which might be shown as a question mark in the list of menu sections. By the way a Hybrid LNB is a Genuine Sky one.

Freesat is just an alternative EPG for the channels you get free on Sky - so exactly the same signals from exactly the same satellites. As long as you don't have a Q LNB, all is well, a Freesat box will plug straight in - and presumably when/if the new 3rd generation Freesat boxes come out they will include the use of Q LNB's as well.
But in any case, I was interested to know how much of a difference the new hub/router would make to our broadband speeds. I did 3 tests using the old hub, and then 3 tests immediately after installing the new hub: Old Hub. 20.1 download / 4.88 upload. 17.8 download / 4.94 upload. 19.9 download / 6.40 upload.
That slot is for a CAM (conditional access model) you would plug one in then get a card (like sky) to decode tv. It's only a CI slot for pay TV services (eg ESPN) on DTT. To explain further, it's an EU requirement for TV's above a certain size - basically anything above a portable.
