Course of Study is a required theological and leadership education program for licensed local pastors. Students engage diverse content that includes church history, Bible exegesis, pastoral care, evangelism, UM polity, UM doctrine and more.
GBHEM Scholarships offers financial aid to United Methodist students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees. Every year, an average of $4.5 million is awarded to help students in the United States and abroad pursue their dreams through higher education.

GBHEM’s Office of Scholarships administers over 80 scholarship programs with one general application. Criteria for each scholarship program vary, but there are minimum requirements that apply for general scholarship eligibility consideration.
Review the list of scholarships and select one scholarship program for which you wish to apply. If you are unsure which scholarship to choose, select the “General Scholarship” program. GBHEM will determine the best program with available funds for you.
General Scholarship. Undergrad $500 – $1,000; graduate $500 – $2,000. For undergraduate or graduate level students with a minimum of one year of active membership in the UMC and a minimum 2.5 GPA.
