Roronoa Zoro (ロロノア・ゾロ, Roronoa Zoro, spelled as "Roronoa Zolo" in some English adaptations), also known as "Pirate Hunter" Zoro (海賊狩りのゾロ, Kaizoku-Gari no Zoro), is a fictional character created by Japanese manga artist Eiichiro Oda who appears in the manga series and media franchise One Piece.

Zoro attempts to offer his own life to Kuma to save Luffy, knocking out Sanji when he attempts to take Zoro's place. Impressed by Zoro's resolve, Kuma agrees not to harm Luffy in return for Zoro to subject himself to a paw print holding the extracted pain his captain when through in fighting Moria and Oars.
Coby punches Luffy, in response Luffy beats Coby to near death. The Marines see Coby is not with them, and so order Luffy and Zoro to leave. As they do, Coby asks to join the Marines, and is accepted. Outside, Luffy and Zoro climb into their boat, and as they set sail, the Marines salute them for saving the town, including Coby.
