Margaret Eleanor Atwood CC OOnt CH FRSC FRSL (born on November 18, 1939) is a Canadian novelist, poet, and literary critic.Since 1961, she has published 18 books of poetry, 18 novels, 11 books of nonfiction, nine collections of short fiction, eight children's books, two graphic novels, and a number of small press editions of both poetry and fiction.
Oryx and Crake is a 2003 novel by Canadian author Margaret Atwood.She has described the novel as speculative fiction and adventure romance, rather than pure science fiction, because it does not deal with things "we can't yet do or begin to do", [1] yet goes beyond the amount of realism she associates with the novel form. MaddAddam concludes the dystopian trilogy that began with Oryx and Crake (2003) and continued with The Year of the Flood (2009). While the plots of these previous novels ran along a parallel timeline, MaddAddam is the continuation of both books.
