Vevay Park is an unincorporated community in Cumberland County, Illinois, United States. It is located 3.5 miles (5.6 km) west-southwest of Casey, Illinois . The community was established about 1869 by the Vandalia Railroad , and called "Long Point Station".

In 1930 the Indiana State Highway Commission authorized a state road from SR 56 near Vevay to Versailles. [7] [8] This state road was designated as SR 129 in 1931. [8] [9] Paving of the original section was completed between 1965 and 1967. [10] [11] [12] Around 1977 the SR 129 designation was extended north from Versailles to SR 48.
SR 156 is mostly a rural two-lane highway, passing through farmland and residential properties. SR 156 was first designated as a state road in 1931. The highway replaced the original State Road 58 designation of the highway which dated back to 1927. SR 58 ran from Vevay through Florence to Patriot and ended in Rising Sun.
