From 2018, a new British GP2 class was introduced to be run within existing Supersport races. Devised by MSVR, it is based on Moto2 Honda-engined machines. [1] From 2023 season onwards, new engine regulations are in force allowing larger engines to be used, dependent on the number of cylinders, from manufacturers such as Ducati and MV. [2] [3]
Supersport was introduced as a support class to the Superbike World Championship in 1990 as a European Championship. The series allows four-cylinder engines up to 600 cubic centimetres (37 cu in), three-cylinder engines up to 675 cubic centimetres (41.2 cu in), and twin-cylinder power plants up to 750 cubic centimetres (46 cu in).

Rory Skinner (born 27 September 2001) [1] is a British motorcycle racer from Perth, Scotland, competing in the 2024 British Superbike Championship with TAS Racing. [2] He is best known for winning the 2020 British Supersport Championship. Skinner had a broken 2024 season, suffering crash injuries in May and again in July.
