Immaculata played Queens College on February 22, 1975, in front of 11,969 spectators. The arena played Helen Reddy 's I Am Woman as the fans entered the arena. The game was a one-point game late in the game, when a foul and a technical were called against Queens but the wrong Immaculata player went to the line.
St. Clare Academy (Hastings-on-Hudson) – Run by the Sisters of St. Francis; closed in 1975. St. Gabriel High School for Girls (New Rochelle) – Parish high school; operated from 1924 to 1985; merged with Blessed Sacrament High School for Boys in 1985. St. John Academy (White Plains) – Parish high school; staffed by the Sisters of Charity.
In 1997, Cust, out of high school, was the first round draft pick (30th overall) of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and had a .447 on-base percentage in 35 games in the Rookie League. Cust was a Pioneer League All-Star in 1998 , where he led the league in walks (86), on-base percentage (.530), and runs scored (75).
