Denton Independent School District, sometimes shortened to Denton ISD, is a school district based in Denton, Texas. DISD's superintendent is Jamie Wilson. During the 2021-2022 school year, the District served 31,951 students. [3] In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. [4]

John H. Guyer High School is a public high school situated in the city of Denton, Texas, in Denton County, United States and classified as a 6A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Denton Independent School District located in central Denton County. This was the third high school built by the district and was opened in 2005.

Lantana is an upscale census-designated place (CDP) and planned community originally developed by Republic Property Group, 8 miles (13 km) south of Denton in unincorporated Denton County, Texas, United States. The population of the CDP at the 2010 census was 6,874. [1]

[3] Little Elm High School (Lobo Ln) Little Elm's second high school opened on Lobo Lane in the 1970s. It served the whole district until 2004 and is now referred to as the "old Little Elm High School."
