Kim Hyun-joong (Korean: 김현중; Hanja: 金賢重; born June 6, 1986) is a South Korean actor, singer and songwriter. [1] He is a member of the boy band SS501 and played roles in the Korean dramas Boys Over Flowers and Playful Kiss .

SS501 is a South Korean boy band consisting of five members: Kim Hyun-joong, Heo Young-saeng, Kim Kyu-jong, Park Jung-min and Kim Hyung-jun. [1] They debuted in 2005 with the EP Warning, which included their first number one song, "Never Again".
Kim Hyun-joo began modeling in teen magazines when she was in her third year of high school. In 1996, she made her entertainment debut when she starred in the music video for Kim Hyun-chul's "One's Lifetime." [3] Kim launched her acting career in 1997 in the television drama The Reason I Live (1997).
During 2005–2010, Kim has had two solo songs from SS501 albums: "Rize Up" from Kokoro, [1] and "Please Be Nice to Me" from SS501 Solo Collection. [2] In 2008, he released "Thank You" digital single, a theme song from We Got Married and was also included in SS501 mini album Find. [3]
He also released another song he had written himself, "Jun Be O.K.," and Kim Hyun-joong made a cameo appearance in the music video of the song. From April 2009 to December 2010, Kim was a cast member of Invincible Baseball Team, a variety-reality show that aired during Saturday Challenges; he was chosen as MVP for several weeks.
