Arnold City is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Washington Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located approximately 3 miles (5 km) east of the borough of Belle Vernon, in far northwestern Fayette County. As of the 2010 census, the population of Arnold City was 498. [3]
Arnold was then part of the newly created city of New Kensington from 1891 until it was separately incorporated as a borough in January 1896, and as a third-class city in 1939. Arnold is governed under Pennsylvania's third-class city code, with a mayor, treasurer, controller, and four council members elected at-large.

Born 25 June 1886, [1] in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, Arnold was the son of Dr. Herbert Alonzo Arnold (1857–1933), a physician and a member of the prominent political and military Arnold Family. His mother was Anna Louise ("Gangy") Harley (1857–1931), [ 5 ] from a " Dunker " farm family and the first female in her family to attend high school.
