The BPA Board of Trustees made the decision to cancel the 2020 National Leadership Conference. It was scheduled to be held May 6–10 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center located in Washington, DC [14] This was the first time in the organization's history that the National Leadership Conference had been cancelled.
The conference has an economic impact on Indianapolis of about $35 to US$40 million. [3] The conference was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19. It returned to the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium in August 2021 with attendance down between 25% and 30%. [4] It is scheduled to be held in Indianapolis through 2028. [5]
