Camp Okihi is a developed camp primarily used by sanctioned Kern County youth and school groups. The camp is located north of the Kern River. Since there is no bridge across the Kern River within the Kern River County Park, the camp is relatively isolated. The camp contains two reservable group camping areas for up to 100 people each.

Both camps resulted from a discovery by 'Lovely' Rogers, who found the Big Blue Ledge while tracking a stray mule from the earlier camp of Keysville. [15] [16]

Kernville (previously Whiskey Flat, Rogersville, and Williamsburg) is a former settlement in the Kern River Valley of the Sierra Nevada, in Kern County, California. It lay at an elevation of 2,575 feet (785 m) near the present-day town of Wofford Heights ; [ 1 ] the site was submerged under the Lake Isabella reservoir in 1954.
