Oldham County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,758. [1] Its county seat is Vega. [2] The county was created in 1876 and organized in 1881. [3] Oldham County is included in the Amarillo, TX Metropolitan Statistical Area.
At the 2000 U.S. census, there were 9,458 people, 3,754 households, and 2,732 families residing in the county. [14] The population density was 33 people per square mile (13 people/km 2). There were 5,132 housing units at an average density of 18 units per square mile (6.9/km 2).
