The Hotel has nothing to do with the movie, "The Shining," starring Jack Nicholson. Stephen King spent one night in the hotel and went back to Boulder and finished his book. Not one frame of the movie was filmed at this hotel. The hotel is a fine place to visit but if you think you are going to see and/or hear about the movie don't waste your time.
