Richardson High School (RHS) is a magnet high school in Richardson, Texas, United States with approximately 2,770 students and a student/teacher ratio of approximately 15:1 in the 2018–2019 school year. [3] It is the oldest high school in the Richardson Independent School District (RISD).
Michael "Miles" Standish (November 13, 1964 – July 11, 2023) was an American businessman, author, rare coin expert, sports memorabilia expert and philanthropist. He was a co-founder of Collectors Universe and served as vice president of the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC).
Standish Maximum Correctional Facility (SMF) was a Michigan Department of Corrections maximum security prison in Standish, Michigan. The men's prison was on the south side of M-61 . It was once considered as a potential site for housing detainees to be relocated from the prison in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba . [ 1 ]
Ray's career would never rebound from the failure of The Courtship of Miles Standish. He continued acting, but appeared in smaller budget productions, in supporting roles. During the sound era, Ray appeared in bit parts and filed for bankruptcy a second time in 1934. [5] He died of a systemic infection in November 1943. [19] [20]
After two exhumations in 1889 and 1891, it was generally agreed that Standish's remains had been located and a memorial was built over his gravesite. [2] The Standish gravesite memorial is today the most prominent feature in the burying ground. The burying ground is now owned and maintained by the Town of Duxbury.
Myles Standish (c. 1584 – October 3, 1656) was an English military officer and colonist. He was hired as military adviser for Plymouth Colony in present-day Massachusetts, United States by the Pilgrims.
