Harrah's Casino Tunica, formerly Grand Casino Tunica, was a casino and resort located in Tunica Resorts, Mississippi. It was owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment . The casino offered a 140,000 sq ft (13,000 m 2 ) casino and three hotels with a total of 1,356 rooms.
The facility was opened on May 25, 1994, [1] by Boyd Gaming as the third casino branded as Sam's Town [a] and the first casino opened by Boyd outside of Nevada. It was built to replicate a Western town; at the time it opened it was 400,000 square feet (37,000 m 2) in size with a 200-room hotel.
The casino features more than 70 table games, more than 2,000 slot machines, a large poker room, three fine-dining restaurants, a large buffet and a snack bar. The hotel features more than 500 rooms, most configured as suites.
