Line 6 (Orange Line) is a rapid transit metro line of the Kolkata Metro in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It will connect New Garia with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport via two major satellite towns of Kolkata metropolitan region, Salt Lake and New Town. It currently operates between Kavi Subhash and Hemanta Mukhopadhyay.

Hemanta Mukhopadhyay is a Metro station of Line 6 of the Kolkata Metro at Ruby Crossing, serving the areas of E.M. Bypass, Kasba and Anandapur. [1] The station is named in honour of the Indian Bengali playback singer Hemanta Mukhopadhyay. [2] [3]
As of 6 March 2024, there are 50 metro stations in the network which includes 2 interchange stations. [2] Currently, there are four operational lines, the Blue Line (with 26 stations), Green Line (with 12 stations), Purple Line (with 7 stations) and Orange Line (with 5 stations).
