This is a list of notable districts and neighborhoods within the city of Los Angeles in the U.S. state of California, present and past.It includes residential and commercial industrial areas, historic preservation zones, and business-improvement districts, but does not include sales subdivisions, tract names, homeowners associations, and informal names for areas.
Doheny Drive starts south of Cashio Street, in a residential cul-de-sac near the Beverlywood neighborhood of Los Angeles. [2] After crossing Pico Boulevard and the neighborhood of Pico-Robertson, it enters Beverly Hills at Whitworth Drive and crosses Olympic Boulevard.

According to the Los Angeles Times Mapping L.A. project, Mid-Wilshire is bounded on the north by West Third Street, on the northeast by La Brea Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard, on the east by Crenshaw Boulevard, on the south by Pico Boulevard and on the west by Fairfax Avenue.
In the early 1920s, Wilshire Boulevard west of Western Avenue was an unpaved farm road, extending through dairy farms and bean fields. Developer A. W. Ross saw potential for the area and developed Wilshire as a commercial district to rival downtown Los Angeles. The "Miracle Mile" nickname first appeared in local newspapers on January 27, 1929. [6]
