The building at 2705 Fern Lane in North End Halifax was purchased by the EAC in July 2005 and renovated by volunteers prior to opening to the public in May 2006. Over the next decade the centre outgrew this space, and further renovations began in May 2015, which were completed in April 2016 after more than 1800 hours of work by volunteers.
