Here's the "fine print" on the Hulu free trial: "HBO content available via Hulu. Additional content only available via HBO Max™ app." Which means Hulu offers HBO the cable channel.

I think the only promo available is the 7 day free trial. there are others I know about, but they only apply if you have certain cell phone/internet services and they tell you about it when you purchase those. When you add HBO Max, Cinemax, Showtime or Starz to any Hulu tier you will get access to the live feeds for the respective premium services. You do not need Hulu+Live TV for that. After HBO Max launched I used their 7-day free trial to test this out as well. I'm on the $5.99 ad-supported Hulu plan.
