Enlightenment23. Oh the 8 of Swords Reversed... you have no idea how long this card has been stalking me over the years. For the longest, The 8 of Swords reversed, for me, was advice. I tend to allow my mind and fears to create the illusion that I cannot escape the situation I am in. There's nothing I can do.
junethird. #3. REsubmerged said: I don't tend to read reversals. But in either upright or reversed I'd say that 8 of Swords is about acceptance of limitations. The question becomes whether one is willing or unwilling to accept them....most aren't. Hope this helps. Thank you!
TheProphet. When a card's Rx for me, it means the energy of that card is unstable. If it's a negative card like the eight of swords then I read that as the entrapment energy being on the way out of the querent life. It is still present in small measure now but it's grip is weakening and it will soon leave. It's interesting how everyone reads ...
There is an old country western song that sounds like 8 Swords Rx... "Don't fence me in." So I would say this person wants a lot of personal freedom, not to have a lot of mental obligations or rules & regulations of what is ok and what is not, few restrictions, and definitely clarity, because it seems to me that the 8 Swords would be those unseen ulterior motives the other person in this ...

She sees that ...
To me 8 Swords is about mental restrictions, feeling trapped... so to me it seems that this person is feeling like they can see what is around them, like the blindfold and binders have been removed and instead of feeling trapped or helpless or restricted, they see it as liberating, but also perhaps surrounded by reason.
8 of swords reversed as feelings. Pique Dame. #1. If you pull 8 of Swords Rx in the feelings position, would you likely read it as a feeling of being set free or as an intensification of the bondage felt in the upright version? Perhaps the feeling is this person desires more freedom than they have or perceive they have.
8 of Swords That is a very fascinating interpretation of the 8 of Swords reversed. I have not heard of it divining a miracle until now. However, I will say that the 8 of Swords is a very powerful card despite dictating a seemingly negative situation. A subtle aspect to it is the blindfold.
Reverse the card and it could signal release, freedom, immunity from the cutting swords because you're now faced with the "handles" rather than the blade. On the other hand, reversals can signal a blockage of energy. In this instance, the energy is all about a halt in communications. Reverse it and the card suggests that everyone is talking (or ...
To me the 8 swords can be a number of things, but certainly a sense of being trapped... and I would say trapped in our thinking. Look at the picture of the card you picked and write down what it looks like to you (upright)..... then think in terms of all of that being turned upside down.....
