The Andalusian Health Service (Spanish: Servicio Andaluz de Salud, SAS), the government-run health system for the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain, was created on May 6, 1986, as an autonomous agency attached to the Regional Ministry of Health (Consejería de Salud y Familias) of the Andalusian Autonomous Government.

Created on January 1, 1879, as Oficina Central de Hidrografía (English: Hydrographic Central Office) by decree 11.289 of President Nicolás Avellaneda. It became the current SHN on 1972 by National Law 19.922. Since 2007, it became part of the Ministry of Defense. The main mission of the SHN is to provide safe navigation on national waters.
From 7 May 1957 until October 1966, SMN was under the Ministry of Aeronuatics (Spanish: Ministerio de Aeronáutica de la Nación). [2] Later on, during the coup by Juan Carlos Onganía, SMN was directly under the Argentine Air Force for 40 years until 1 January 2007 when Decree Nº1689 finally transferred it back into civilian hands.
