Maine School Administrative District 28 (Camden Rockport Schools) is a K-8 school district headquartered in Camden, Maine, serving both Camden and Rockport. [2] It operates Camden Rockport Elementary School (CRES) and Camden Rockport Middle School (CRMS). It feeds into Camden Hills Regional High School of the Five Town Community School District.
Camden made national headlines in 2010 after it was announced that the town would be giving some land away (2.8 acres and a run-down leather tannery) for "free", on the condition that a prospective business owner would have to pay $175,000 to the city of Camden and create 24 "full time" jobs. As of 2012, Camden had yet to find any takers. [18]

For many years, WQSS was known as "Coast 102.5" and had an adult contemporary format, with studios located in Camden. Until December 26, 2008, the station was known as "102-5 The Peak" playing a classic hits format. WQSS then changed back to adult contemporary, as "Midcoast 102.5."

Founded in 1854 the college was established in Oakley Square by Christian Socialists to provide for Victorian skilled artisans a liberal education, with its ethical focus countering what its founders saw as failings and corruption in the practices of trade self-help associations of the time.
Drained by Varnah Brook and Goose River, Rockport is located beside Penobscot Bay and the Gulf of Maine, part of the Atlantic Ocean. The town is crossed by U. S. Route 1 and state routes 17 and 90. It borders the towns of Rockland to the south, Warren to the southwest, Union to the west, Hope to the northwest, and Camden to the north.
