BMS recall/update. Last week I got a notice from Hyundai that my car ('21 KonaEV Premier, not one subject to the original battery recall campaign) was being recalled to do two things: install now battery management system software, and drain and replace the battery coolant. I was told this would take 2-3 hours.

The majority of new cars cannot be flat towed, and the ones that can are normally domestic SUVs, Trucks and smaller cars. As for the Kona, it cannot be flat towed, nor should it be on a trailer dolly.
Actually, I have found, with pretty complete assurance, a 1 1/4" hitch for my 2022 Kona EV made by Draw-Tite and sold by 'eTrailer' (Tiara H at 800.298.8924 ext 79325). Part 24976. The same part number is for the non-EV; so you have to really work them to make sure they sell the EV version.
The software for the Kona EV Ultimate was listed as an October release, but it was not available for download last I checked. The 11/15 version, still version .009.001, was only up a couple of days ago. If you got the October version, I would not install it but get theh 11/15 version. When I called the dealership service department, they said it should be due at 7,500 miles and told me to come in to check the interval setting in the car.
I could get a Napa Legend Pro 75140MF for around $200. or something from autozone (Duralast Gold H4-DLG, $231) Walmart also has something similar that would physically fit. None of these alternatives are listed in any type of catalogue as a "fit" for the Kona EV. it is strictly word-of-mouth.
