Logically second is the last to lose, or even the second last to lose because technically the winner is the last to lose. Say you’re in a competition with 9 other people. The person who ends up in 10th place is the first to lose, then 9th place is the second to lose. 2nd place is technically the end of the line to lose.
Finishing in second place is doesn't mean you're the "first loser". I just keep hearing about it and it's too unnecessarily dramatic, especially for something too simple. It doesnt need any deep, dramatic bullshit. The "first loser" is the one on last place, and everyone else is also a loser. Period.
He usually wins almost 75% of non-competitive games. It isn’t just you having trouble. After days of getting several victories in a row I'm now seemingly unable to stop getting 2nd in a row. Some ppl say it means you need a break, some say just play through it. Either way, it just happens and it sucks.
Second Place is the First Loser, Never Settle for Silver. Hey, if you've ever played in a casual platoon at all in the past few years, you've probably heard these deadly words: "We're not going to fight X Faction, we want them to win!" 2nd Place makes you the 1st Place Loser AMA As a man who can only go out as the First place loser feel free to ask me how to never win a game no matter how good you think your spot is. Sincerely,
We've all seen them. Those Nike T-shirts with cryptic sayings in all caps: "GOOD THINGS COME IN THREES". "RE2PECT". "THERE IS NO FINISH LINE". "BEAST DON'T REST". We don't get them. But we sure do love them. This is a place for the parody of those slogans.
It means you were close to being the best. I may be wrong, but that’s sort of my take on it. My coach used to say that to us, I was a swimmer growing up. It's usually a tough-love coach thing to say. Lord knows I'm not an Abby fan but that's an often-used saying! I 100% agree 2nd place is an achievement that should be celebrated.
The guy who gets nine 2nd places in a row is a lot more likely to get 1st place on his tenth attempt than the guy who stopped trying. In life sometimes you only need to get 1st place once to get what you want. Even if it's on the tenth attempt. Yes and no. Absolutely maybe depending on the mood.
