Cardiff Rugby Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Rygbi Caerdydd) is a rugby union club based in Cardiff, the capital city of Wales.The club was founded in 1876 [1] and played their first few matches at Sophia Gardens, shortly after which relocating to Cardiff Arms Park where they have been based ever since.
Cardiff Arms Park is a rugby union stadium situated in the city centre. One of rugby union's most famous stadiums, it is home to Cardiff RFC and Cardiff Rugby. [5] Previously the site had two stadiums: the Cardiff Rugby Ground and also the National Stadium.
They have produced a number of players for Cardiff Demons and the successful Wales Students side. The side will resume playing in the BUCS Leagues in 2016. The University of South Wales, which has a campus in Cardiff, also fields Rugby Union and Rugby League sides usually playing at the University Sport Park in Treforest.
