Plymouth is a city in Hennepin County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. A suburb in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area, the city is about 10 miles (16 km) west of downtown Minneapolis . The population was 81,026 at the 2020 census , making it Minnesota's 7th-largest city.

MN 55 continues east and has a junction with US 169 at the Plymouth–Golden Valley boundary line. MN 55 continues through Golden Valley to its junction with MN 100.
Hennepin County Road 61 or County State-Aid Highway 61 (CR 61, CSAH 61) is a 24.853-mile-long (39.997 km) major route along the east side of Interstate 494 (I-494) in Hennepin County, Minnesota. The route travels through the west suburbs of the Twin Cities through Maple Grove , Plymouth , Minnetonka , Hopkins and Eden Prairie .
With the most recent expansion completed in November 2016 in Plymouth, I-494 is now at least three lanes in each direction for its entire route. A major reconstruction/widening project of I-494 was completed in late 2006 between US Highway 212 (US 212)/ MN 5 in Eden Prairie and Carlson Parkway at Minnetonka –Plymouth.
US 61 runs concurrently with US 14 and State Highway 16 (MN 16) as it enters the state. The four-lane divided highway continues north through La Crescent. US 61 follows the Mississippi River through southeast Minnesota; through the cities of Winona, Wabasha, Lake City, and Red Wing. US 61 is a two-lane roadway between Wabasha and Red Wing.
U.S. 169 is one of three Minnesota U.S. marked highways to carry the same number as an existing state marked highway within the state. The others being Highways 61 and 65. Legally, the Minnesota section of U.S. 169 is defined as all or part of Routes 5, 7, 383, 3, 18, and 35 in the Minnesota Statutes §§ 161.114(2) and 161.117(4).
